Thankful List for July: -reminders of her everywhere -continued forward movement for the McDurhams' adoption -"Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in You." Psalm 33:20-22 -World Cup Mania for our boy (and how our Olympic flags became World Cup flags) -free day at the water park (thanks to Reid's generosity) -time with my family in Mississippi: * lunch with the Wheat's *Minor league Braves game and fireworks (and the way Kaitlyn and Libby entertained themselves) *Children's Museum *celebrating the 4th of July and Andrea's birthday meant perfect weather, pizza, kids running around, and cake *free hot air balloon festival *Dad's generosity -mom coming back with us -introducing her to Pei Wei -safe travels -swimming lessons with Mrs. Camille -Ashley taking the kids to the movies -helpful kids -Mimi came for a visit -Ben's prize grill arrived! -getaway with Ben: *Twisted Root *dinner, cupcakes, and comedy club with Andrew and Kristina *Dallas Museum of Art *Klyde Warren Park- food trucks and perfect weather and possibly one of the coolest parks ever *Mimi watching the kids, Pops sharing his hotel points -movie and dinner with Sunday School class -kids' creativity -Vacation Bible school and Stix n' Tones music camp -lots of time with friends -Libby's recent methods for cutting grass (fingernail clippers and a child's vacuum cleaner) -Dinner with the Doleys -weekly text message exchanges with Vicki in Uganda to check in with each other and found out how we can pray for each other (so grateful for her continued friendship across the miles) -beginning the process of Libby joining our family in worship the last couple of weeks. Despite the wiggling and questions, there was something pretty incredible about all four of us being there together (and because people have asked recently- here is the article that moved us to bringing our kids into worship with us) -pretty great children's cd from the Church of Brookhills that even us adults can enjoy- The Great God and His Big Story --new prayer journal for our family from Valmariepaper.com -much needed rain!!
