Thankful List for January: -making progress on all the adoption paperwork that has to be redone -3 years of life for Aida -"Adoption is the visible gospel." -John Piper And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption: -the sweet blessing of getting to have lunch with the Cash family on our way out of Georgia and before they headed back to Madagascar. -the fun of surprising Tucker with a spontaneous stop in Auburn, Alabama. The expression on his face when we walked into the Auburn book store and said he could use some of his Christmas money was worth the side trip. -safe travels from Georgia to Texas -playdate with Meredith and Melissa -3 excited boys getting Ranger players signatures -lots of kids coming over to play throughout the month -Ashley is here! So glad to have her as an addition at the BSM. -celebrating Haley's birthday and Matthew's birthday (and Tuck getting to celebrate with Noah) -lunch with the Gill's -lunch with Krista two days in a row and getting to see her new house -lunch with Fortunate and Grace -students and former students in our house throughout the month -Father's Night at TLC (and Libby's excitement over it and insistence that Ben wear a cape) -my dinner date with Tucker -first Party for the Nations of the semester
-Facetiming with the Ostermann's -initial planning for the Uganda trip -getting to watch Jalee and Noah play basketball -painting class fundraiser and parents night out fundraisers for the BSM were a success -"Often we cannot hear God's gentle whisper because we allow the noise of our surroundings to choke out any possibility of recognizing His voice." Shelene Bryan (Love, Skip, Jump) -Libby's cardiologist check up went well -sibling friendship
