Thankful List for October: -happy phone call with Amy: decisions made and first forward movement in 8 months -the sweetest, most thoughtful ornament made by David McDurham (see all his ornaments here) -a scheduled homestudy update and an upcoming new adoption orientation And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption: -Bluegrove pie day at the BSM (and how we look forward to it all year) -reading Boxcar children with Tucker -visit with Staci Byrd -Sunday lunch with the Gill’s -Krista bringing Libby Sonic ice when she was sick, Jalee’s gifts and thoughtfulness -being able to send small things to the Ostermann’s via Vicki's Mom -pumpkin patch in Grapevine with Sunday School class (perfect weather, perfect day) -Kasi’s willingness to dye my hair Trip to Georgia for Katie and Andy’s Wedding: -safe travel for all four of us at different times -Mom, Alli, and Kaitlyn picking me and Libby up at the airport (cousins singing Frozen loudly in the back of the car) -brief but sweet time with Grandma Gardner -Mom and Dad watching Libby -weekend away in Savannah with Katie and bridesmaids: great food, beautiful Savanna, beach walking, and sweet time with the girls -time with my parents in Fitzgerald -all the people who helped Ben with Tucker while I was gone (Kelli, Krista, Michael, and Emma Kate) -Beca watching our dog -lunch with Mrs. Dorris and Jonathan -coffee (really hot chocoloate) with Nicole -seeing Ben and Tucker after a week -getting to see my mom on her birthday -time with Ben's extended family -all the wedding festivities -Tucker and Libby’s excitement over their jobs as ring bearer and flower girl -Andy and Katie are married -"Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass." Joshua 21:45 -Superhero night at Chick-fil-a -Libby holding her fortune cookie to her ear "Mama, I can hear the ocean!" -pumpkin carving -Halloween fun: kids giving out treats at the nursing home near our home, their choices of superhero and spy costumes, chili, trick or treating with friends, the "big kids" excitement over passing out candy, and Ben made it back in time after his car broke down in Fort Worth "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
