Thankful List for November
-Homestudy update part 1 was short and painless and resulted in a really clean house for a day
-Adoption program orientation at Buckner in Dallas on my birthday (and the Doley's keeping our kids while we got away)
-Baby boy Elliot is home with the Stewart’s!!!!!
And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption
-Celebrating Calyn’s first birthday and watching the kids ice skate with chairs
-Getting to see the Weaver’s lovely new home and a dream come true
-Tucker’s drive to read a Magic Tree House book every day for AR (he may not love to read but he loves to compete)
-Sticker feet decorated by Libby (thanks to Mimi).
-The way Libby fills Tucker in about her day after he gets home from school
-Though I haven’t seen her yet… it's nice to know Dianna is back on the same continent and we get to see the entire Cash crew next month!!
-running with Krista
-How special and loved and celebrated I was made to feel on my 34th birthday.
-afternoon on the play ground with the old gang :).... glad for a little bit of time with Melissa, Stacia, and Allyson
-Sweet reminders of Vicki all the way from Uganda.
-"God calls us to see all people as human beings equal to ourselves before God. The cross of Christ calls us to see all people as equally in need of salvation. The basis for that radical moral shift begins to appear in Exodus." (from my BSF study)
-Party for the Nations Christmas Decorating party
-the BSM has a new campus missionary... we are so glad Ashley came to spend the weekend with us and can't wait for her to start in January!
-Ben being able to help friends move
-A Thanksgiving week of at least one person in our family being sick every day and all four of us spending Thanksgiving day in bed still meant things to be thankful for:
- Students and friends stepping in with extra help for the BSM International Thanksgiving Dinner
-extra cuddles, rest, book reading, and soup eating
- lots of movies, football, and parade watching
- watching the neighborhood Turkey Trot from our window
-a Thanksgiving dinner at 6:30 with all four of us still in our pj’s (the first time we all managed to get out of bed at the same time) where there was no turkey or dressing or sweet potato soufflé, we had Halloween napkins, Starwars Lego cups, and a table decorated perfectly by our 7 year old with every candle he could find in the house… I’ll never forget it.
-Christmas cards ordered, some Christmas shopping done from the computer, and a Thankful list actually finished on time.
-the way our dog stays near our kids when they are sick
