Thankful List for June: -progress for the Whitfields -"Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord," Psalm 31:24 And a few random things that have nothing to do with adoption: -Ben planned a fun surprise date for us -"The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me..." -Psalm 138:8 -friends and Tucker's kindergarten teacher coming to watch him play baseball -school is out! -last day of school celebration with the Hansards and Newberrys -the bittersweetness of the Ostermann’s going away party -friends watching our kids at various times throughout the month -Ben measuring off our block with the kids to compare it to the size of Noah’s Ark -fun with the Ostermann girls -Yogurt Journey with friends -the Withers coming over for dinner meant little girls dressed as super heros and playing in the dirt -baseball camp -the Sharps taking Tucker to a Ranger’s game -new recipes (including Mrs. Mary’s roast beef sandwich recipe) -getting to teach at Maddie’s painting party -the sound of the kids laughing with their dad -a gift came in the mail 45 minutes before I needed it -watching our friends journey of obedient faith unfold all the way to Uganda -Chick fil a playdate -when the kids play well together -neighborhood kids in our home -surviving Ben being gone -slumber parties -how Libby dresses up every single day for every occassion -Ben’s grandma is recovering remarkably from her massive stroke -Dani and Sam taking kids to Chuck e Cheese -RAIN!!!! -baseball team party at Coyote Creek Ranch -finished Meredith’s painting -Kasi taking kids to get ice cream -Tucker "why are we getting to spend so much time with our friends right now?!" -World Cup watching with the Doley's
-technology and how it let’s me text and briefly Facetime with Vicki in Africa -farewell lunch with Josh, Ben's intern (who did an amazing job this year) -a rare beautiful night in June meant we could sit on the patio and talk with the Cook's -all of the fun and creative ways our kids are spending their time this summer
